Our Activities

The Harmony Revival Network (HRN) has made significant strides in supporting NGOs and advancing impactful initiatives through expert translation services

Program Highlights

In the year 2024, HRN was able make the work of some Humanitarian partners more impactful and understood by the local communities through breaking language barriers. HRN played a pivotal role in the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) protection sub-sector, by providing translation services in 3 local languages; Hausa, Kanuri, and Bura.

Capacity Building

HRN staff received trainings such as the “Humanitarian Development Peace Practitioners” training organized by Action Aid etc

Training of Translators

On 30 and 31 July 2025, HRN conducted a 2-day intensive training to prepare the volunteers for humanitarian translation. The training focused on translation standards, confidentiality, safeguarding, and sector-specific terminology across Education, Health, GBV, WASH, and Protection. This cohort now forms the backbone of our language support service.

Empowering NGOs During Crisis

Amid the devastating floods of September 2024 in Maiduguri, HRN supported five organizations by translating 15,000 words of critical content to aid relief efforts.

Capacity Building

HRN Conducted onboarding training and training sessions on “Humanitarian Standards and Development Practices” for staff.

EiEWG Collaboration

HRN translated 4,530 words and select content from IEC materials for the EiEWG, ensuring accessibility by converting materials from English into Hausa and Kanuri

There are underdeveloped languages and affected areas withing BAY States (Borno, Adamawa & Yobe) as well as Northwestern Nigeria where population can’t access information in the language they understand. Inclusivity remains an issue in many communities due to cultural barriers and lack of information. HRN conducts planned awareness raising, dialogue and among many other activities focusing on both immediate conflict resolution and long-term peace building.

Our goal is to create a sustainable and peaceful environment for all communities.
