Food Security & Nutrition

As part of our strategic priorities, HRN is set to contribute to food security and improved nutrition outcomes in crisis-affected communities. We recognize that hunger and malnutrition remain persistent challenges in Northeast Nigeria, especially for women, children, and displaced families.

Our approach focuses on:

  1. Supporting emergency food and nutrition interventions in partnership with humanitarian actors.
  2. Promoting nutrition awareness, particularly for pregnant and lactating women and children under five.
  3. Exploring sustainable food systems through local agriculture, small-scale farming, and household resilience initiatives.

Through these planned interventions, HRN aims to complement existing efforts and ensure vulnerable families not only access food in emergencies but also build long-term resilience against hunger.
